Tanay Yap, 4/4

Sec1 Orientation Camp 2009 has finally come to an end. Despite the fact that the camp was exhausting and wearying, I still enjoyed the whole camp! Something unique about this camp was that I was not only passing down my experiences and knowledge. At the same time, I also learnt several things from the Sec1 students and other OGLs. For instance, I got a better understanding of the benefits in taking initiative. If no one volunteers themselves, then there would be no progress at all. Besides that, I learn about different skills in handling various situations from other OGLs. Thus, I am sure this camp has been very beneficial to me, and I hope that the future Orientation Camps would turn out even more successfully!

I am the OGL of class 1/3B, I would like to say, it has been a meaningful 2 days for both you guys and I, I supposed. With sweat and tears, we’ve made it through. Also, not forgetting the interactive activities organized by the efficient main coms, which foster the relationship among us even more. I believe what have been done, is done, don’t look back; the future is what we should be focusing on, how to improve and how to meet your goals. Live up to everyday, and have no regrets. Never mind if you are not the best, but at least you are those who can say I have did my best. I hope you guys will excel both academically and in personal.

Leading the class of sec 1/3A.
The Secondary 1 orientation camp has finally came to an end.. haha.. well, it's really a very memorable time spent with the secondary one classes,
although the class i took is rather difficult to handle. It's a tiring and yet a fun experience. This is my first time being an OGL and an OGL leader. It's not a very easy "job" though. haha. The first day was quite ok, the sec ones were kinda rowdy, they keep hitting each other. Told them to stop but they keep hitting.. well, maybe because they are kids? Well, many of them enjoyed water games more!! They love getting wet!! haha.. scolded them on the first day though because they are getting quite out of hand.. Finally the 2nd day was abit better. hahas.. hope everyone enjoy the camp!!!

It was fun being an ogl even though it lasted only for 2 days. During this 2 days, i gained alot of experience. Being an ogl, we had to lead the sec 1s in the activities, and it made me realise that in order to truely enjoy the camp, we have to take part in all the activities. I hope that through the camp, the sec 1s would bond together as a class (:
