At the beginning of the camp when i first met my group, i was really disappointed that they were not enthusiastic or 'high', i am pretty sure that my other ogl friends thought so too. But we remembered that as OGLs, we were supposed to support them and get them to be enthusiastic and enjoy the camp, so we started to mingle with them and motivated them to cheer. Just let go of themselves and enjoy the 2 day camp. I was really happy that all of them did so and really enjoyed themselves. A peek in their camp booklets really made us, ogl's day cause the comments were all really positive. It warmed out hearts and made us love our campers even more. I felt really appreciated and rewarded. In a small but inspiring way. It made me want to do more and continue to touch more people. (not literally, duh!) At the end of the 2 day camp, I really felt that I have inspired or touched the Sec 1, as much as they have inspired me.
Dear 1/7,
Secondary school life is really different from primary school life. I hope you guys had a good start during the camp and learnt something about our school. Studies will be getting tougher and if you need help, whether in studies, friends or just need someone to talk to, you have your ogls who will always, always be here for you! Thank you for touching my life and inspiring me so much. I am sorry if i have scolded you guys or did something that you didn't like. Please do not take it to heart as it is difficult to guide you guys when you dont cooperate. But im so glad that you guys enjoyed yourself! Shriram, dont feel sad about not having a good friend yet, it takes times to make a friend you can trust in who will understand you and share your pains. Well, to be honest, at sec3, i have not found mine yet! So dont worry, you are not an out cast or anything of that such. You just haven't found the right one ( no, im not talking about girlfriends here). One step at a time! 1/7, i love you and im glad i got your class.[:

It was my first time being an Orientation Group Leader and after this whole experience, I felt that being a good leader and a role model is very important. The two day camp made me realise how fulfilling it can be to watch the secondary ones make friends and the smiles on their faces indicating they had fun. I love 1/7!!

The camp was fun, especially the games organized, some sec1s of the class I took and I enjoyed the camp. Though 1/7b did not win any awards, you all had participated actively and displayed team spirit in all the games which is a good thing, although you all only know your classmates for a few days. So to everyone in 1/7! Work hard towards your goals! Gambate!

Firstly, kudos to all who were involved. A few mishaps may have occured along the way, but I'm a firm believer that it was still a job well done. I've been really hyped before the camp and I'm very pleased to say that I wasn't let down. Improvisations were made swiftly and of course with the best interest of everyone in mind. Compromisations were made, issues were settled. The only grouse I had was that the camp was without overnight stays in school. It may have been only 2 days, but they're 2 days that I'll never forget.
1/7A. You guys have been wonderful. There was a 180 degrees turn in your attitude, from being so reserved, quiet individuals to being such an united group of students. I'm sorry if you guys found me weird on the first day with my weird antics. But well I guess we all got along just fine. It may have been rather queer, an entirely new enviroment and new people to adapt to. I have to admit. I took a small peek into the reflections and well, I'm honesly glad that no one found me scary/fierce (repulsive maybe). All I saw were comments that the OGLs were really positive. There might not have been enough time for interaction between the campers and us OGLs, but there'll always be more time. Here's wishing all of you have a great journey ahead in riverside. Remember, sign up for OGL next year!
Andrea, 2/6
For the two days, I managed to memorise the names of those juniors in 1/7A ;D
Although they were unwilling to interact with us, they managed to after a few rounds of ice-breaker games ^^
The class chairperson did a good job in taking the initiative and gave good suggestions for the cheers XD
Overall, I enjoyed myself during the camp with the CUTE juniors and I hope they will pass their exams with flying colours ><>
